Truth is a living person and we received the truth and didn’t create it.
Something in particular that spoke to me in the video was the quote of ” Who hears you, hears me”, which shows that through the Apostles, Jesus is trying to convey His message of truth and find ways to follow him. Even before the New Testament was written, the deposit was handed down through oral preaching and lessons from the disciples. The people of Jesus’ time and still today depend on others to teach us the way of Jesus through the deposit of faith that has been handed down through the Apostles to the Church for generations.
How do we hear him or in this case….hear you.
some key things that stuck out or struck me in this video were:
” family relationships ” family is always there for you and most cases like
myself I was brought up in the Catholic faith and with nurturing it grows.Like Jesus nurturing the apostles and being like family doing everything together.
Also the five senses as an example and the need for senses
The word of mouth and written letter analogy another good one in not getting your expressions across fully. That in particular in today’s society is a key with texting and social media etc You can’t fully get your
expressions across not even with emoticons and most cases it is misinterpreted too.
I also always love how you use the example he draws straight with crooked lines. š
